This program prepares students for skilled positions as an entry-level manual machinist.

 

HOW IT CAN HELP

Manual machinists are individuals who are able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments.

 

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

Students will learn through hands-on projects and computer-assisted instruction, the basic skills needed to fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical and/or precision instruments. Employment may also include fabricating and modifying parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines.

 

Certificate of Achievement: 450 Hours

 

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Typically under $1,500 and less than 450 hours of class time, but check the website below.

 

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

These entry-level manual machinists will be able to operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts.
